Course Information

The 2026 Inventory Management Course starts on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 6 pm ET / 5 pm CT / 4 pm MT / 3 pm PT. 


The course has 14 live classes, 2 recorded classes, and will run through Wednesday, May 13th, with final projects due May 27, 2026.

Registration fee for the course is $395. MPIBA members receive 15% off all course registrations, and we reimburse stores for tuition on some courses. Discounts cannot be applied after payment is submitted. Click here for discount codes and details before registering.

Registration is limited to 60 students, with no more than two employees from each store.  48 seats are open for first come/first registered, while 12 seats are reserved for students who fall under our Diversity/Equity/Inclusion policy.  There are required questions about diversity status when you register.

Students may elect to take the course to earn certification from the Professional Booksellers School, or they may elect to audit the course. Only students who meet the certification guidelines for attendance, homework, and their final project will be certified.
