Board of Directors

The Mountains & Plains Independent Booksellers Association (MPIBA) is governed by a nine-member board of directors that includes booksellers and representatives from the book industry. Board members work at Active Bookstore or Industry Member companies. Members serve three-year terms (up to two consecutive), and our officers (president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary) serve two-year terms. New board members are elected each fall on a rolling basis as current terms expire. MPIBA members are asked to suggest people to serve on the board, then the board nominates candidates who are then voted on by MPIBA voting members (one per bookstore or organization).
