Organization Overview
Recycled Books, Records, CDs is a large family-owned, independent used book and media store (though these days with new records and CDs aplenty, as well) on the Downtown Square in Denton, Texas.
We opened in 1983, in a hole in the wall so small only one person could be in the store at a time. Before long, we'd moved to a larger hole in the wall...then expanded *through* the wall to a neighboring space. In 1991, we moved into Denton's old Wright Opera House (think traveling musicians and off-Vaudeville acts, not Puccini) with help from the community. At the time, everything fit into the front room; these days our books, music, movies, games, and memorabilia are spread out across all three giant floors.
