Literacy Programs in Our Region

The Literacy Grant program is funded by generous bookseller and other donations from the previous year’s Trade Show, as well as from donations the Association receives throughout the year.

The Association annually presents grants of $500 to $1,000 to support non-profit literacy programs in our region. MPIBA has awarded grants amounting to over $100,000 over the last 25 years.

How to Apply for a Literacy Grant

The Literacy Grant Application is online only; you can access it by clicking here.

The deadline for application receipt is August 31 of each year; applicants will be notified of disposition of grant money by September 15, and grant recipients are announced and recognized at the Author Banquet at the Fall Discovery Show (Trade Show).
