~     Bookstore-sponsored direct mail and newspaper insertions.

A single attachment is limited to 9.0mg in size; for a smaller file size, StuffIt (.sit) for Macintosh platform is recommended. Please add the suffix (.jpg, .tif, .eps, .psd, .pdf, .sit) for proper file downloading.

FTP: FTP File Upload
If you use the MPIBA website’s Shopping Cart and pay for your Catalog space(s) online, you will be given a username and password in order to upload digital files via the FTP site.

If you complete a hard copy Contract and Title Sheet, pay with a check or credit card, and wish to use the FTP site, Mountains & Plains will send a username and password to you via e-mail for FTP access.

Please review these specifications with your art department, and give us a call if you have any questions or concerns.

Design, Prepress, and Printing
Design, prepress, and printing services for the MPIBA Winter Catalog are entirely Macintosh platform.

Image Sizes and Specifications
•      Please send digital jacket files at 1.5" in width at 300 dpi minimum for any Catalog space(s) purchased. File formats accepted are JPG, TIF, EPS, PSD, and PDF .
•      In order to highlight a feature space and/or a super feature space, please send trademark-approved artwork, backgrounds, publisher logos, and photos in addition to your digital jacket(s) images.
•      Live area for artwork for features and super features will depend on number of titles displayed and the overall page layout and design.
•      If you send a full-size jacket image, it will be digitally reduced 200% to 500% to meet the required size of 1.5" in width. File deterioration will definitely occur, particularly with type! Please resize your original file to 1.5" wide before sending.
•      Not preferred, but accepted, is a final printed jacket or F&G sent via the postal service or overnight delivery.
