ADVERTISING, AUTHOR AUTOGRAPHING, PROMOTIONS, AND SPONSORSHIPS

1. Author Autographing ( Thursday & Friday 5:00-7:00pm) - The Thursday and Friday Author Rendezvoux are cocktail parties where authors can visit with booksellers and autograph complimentary copies of their new fall titles in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.  Exhibitors are welcome to have authors sign at their booths in the exhibit hall, but these events will not be announced from the podium; so you may wish to include that information in your Guide to Fall Book Camp advertisement (see below).  To schedule your author, email Kyle Larson at kyle@mountainsplains.org with author name, book title, catalog page, and preferred autographing date.  $100 signing fee plus 100 books required.

Elite Expo Services is the official drayage company for the MPIBA Fall Book Camp 2007.  Exhibitor kits and information can be downloaded here.  Please refer all shipping/drayage questions directly to Elite Expo Serives at (800) 436-3513 or (303) 991-2791 or email: customerservice@eliteexposervices.com.

Please do not send materials directly to the Marriott.  They do not have adequate storage space and will return your shipment.

2. Guide to Fall Book Camp Advertisements (formerly Trade Show Directory) - The Guide is handed out to every attendee on-site and is also mailed to MPIBA members before the show.

3. Fall Book Camp Sponsorships below include recognition in the official Guide to Fall Book Camp, on the website, and in the weekly e-newsletter to members as well as an opportunity to promote your product at the event, special signage at your booth, a ribbon on your badge, verbal thanks during the General Meeting, and at the event itself.

a. General Education Sponsorships -
            $500  •  $1,000  •  $1,500  •  Other Levels

b. Literacy Grants - $250 and up - MPIBA has donated over $75,000 to nonprofit literacy programs in our region over the past 15 years. We invite Fall Book Camp exhibitors to sponsor additional grants. Announcement of these grants is made at the Saturday Breakfast, with recipient programs named.

c. Thursday Morning Continental Divide Breakfast for Booksellers - $1,500

d. Thursday Boxed Lunch for Booksellers at the General Meeting - $1,500

 

e. Thursday Evening Author Rendezvous - Author receptions with a cash bar; sponsorships are for hors d’oeuvres. Exclusive sponsorship - $5,000; partial sponsorships available - $500 and up.

f. Friday Publisher/Bookseller Breakfast & Roundtables - Publisher attendees are underwriting part of the cost for booksellers through their ticket purchases. Additional sponsorship of event - $1,500.

g. Friday Evening Author Rendezvous - Exclusive sponsorship by Baker & Taylor.

h. Saturday 6:00-8:00pm - Refreshments Outside Exhibit Hall - Cash bar; sponsorships are for hors d’oeuvres. Exclusive sponsorship - $6,000; partial sponsorships available  - $500 and up;         exclusive sponsorship for live music - $750.

4. Banner Advertisement on the Members Only web page - Get your message out to booksellers in advance of Fall Book Camp by placing an ad on the MPIBA website. Cost is $50.00 for a 532 pixels wide x 105 pixels tall banner that runs for one week with rotation.

5.  Fall Book Camp Publisher Special Offers - We strongly recommend that you plan to offer a
     Fall Book Camp special, even one as simple as free freight on all orders placed at the show, to increase
      traffic and orders at your exhibit. Specials will be posted on the website and included in the Guide.

6.  Prize Drawings - These drawings encourage booksellers to place orders at the Show. Booksellers fill out tickets provided by exhibitors after an order is placed. Drawings are held for 4 sets of autographed books.
